The Bayesian Stock Forecast Terminal is operated at bayesiannetwork.org. It is a research and educational tool for stock-market probability analysis — it does not provide investment advice.

When you choose "Continue with Google", the sign-in is handled by a secure sign-in gateway on our behalf. After you pick your Google account, we receive:

• your Google account email address,
• your name as it appears on that account,
• your profile picture, if you have one.

These are stored in our authentication system to create and identify your account. We never see or store your Google password, and we do not post anything to your Google account.

Subscriptions (Standard and Pro) are processed entirely by Stripe, a payment provider. Card details are entered into Stripe's secure payment form and never touch our servers. What we store on our side is:

• your subscription status, plan and renewal date,
• the email address Stripe associates with the payment,
• Stripe's identifiers for your customer and subscription records.

• Analyses: the tickers you analyse and the saved reports they produce. Reports are kept according to your plan — 30 days on the Standard plan and 5-day trial, 90 days on the Pro plan.
• Watchlist: the tickers you save to your watchlist.
• Usage counters: how many analyses you have run today or this month, so we can enforce plan quotas.

This data is tied to your account and visible only to you (and to administrators for support and abuse prevention).

To keep the free trial to one per person, we store a random device identifier in your browser's local storage and a cookie, plus a coarse browser fingerprint (browser type, screen size, language and timezone). If you try to start a second trial on the same device, we refuse it and record why.

This information is used only for trial enforcement and abuse prevention — never for advertising or tracking you across other sites.

• Google — account sign-in.
• Stripe — subscription payments.
• Lovable Cloud — hosting, database and authentication for the app.
• Public market-data providers (Yahoo Finance, Stooq) — price and volume data for the tickers you analyse. They receive the ticker symbol only.
• AI news service — recent headlines for a ticker are summarised into the news overlay. We send the ticker and a short window of recent headlines; no personal data is sent.

We use browser storage for two things only: keeping you signed in, and the device identifier described above. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.

• Saved analyses: 30 days (Standard, trial) or 90 days (Pro), rolling.
• Watchlist and account details: until you ask us to delete them or delete your account.
• Device/fingerprint records for trial enforcement: kept while the account exists so the one-trial rule holds; deleted with the account.
• Payment records: kept as long as Stripe requires for accounting and tax purposes.

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to our processing of it. Email us and we will act on your request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.

The terminal is a research and educational tool. Probabilities are model output, not investment advice, and past behaviour does not guarantee future results.

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new revision date. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
